Fish Committee News!

NEWS: Greene lake was shocked and we found an excessive amount of large catfish. Therefore, the creel limit for catfish has been raised to 10, and the Fish Committee is requesting that everyone to keep all catfish and any large (6 - 8 inch) panfish caught for the rest of the year. Getting them out of the lake will make room for other fish to grow.
Also, there will be a catfish derby at the Family Picnic on September 14, from 8am to 11:00am. There will be prizes for the longest catfish and most catfish caught for the following age ranges: 6 and under, 7-10, 11-14, 15-17, and adult.
We will be frying up the caught fish for the picnic, so anyone who helps with the fish prep will get a work party credit. See Randy Donka ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) to sign up to help with the fishing derby.
Anyone still interested in volunteering their time to the fish committee, please let Jim Sanders know This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Volunteers will be assisting in collecting important fish data regarding size, etc.
All news and information regarding fishing can be found in two places in our website; our BG Forum page where you can express your concerns, comments and questions.  Or, Fish Committee News's New Page! Look for the new navigation link in the Main Menu section on the left margin area.  Here you will be able to find basic information regarding fishing rules, fish size, water temperature, etc.

WEBSITE WILL BE EXPERIENCING LOGIN ISSUES. PLEASE BE PATIENT AS WE TRY TO RESOLVE THESE ISSUES!

Hello everyone.  Recently we migrated the Barber Greene website from one server to another to try to correct some of the issues we've been experiencing.  The BG site is a free Joomla template that needs to be upgraded on a regular basis and from what I can tell this site has not been upgraded for a while if ever.  Upgrading the site is very crucial to the functionality of the site and we believe this is why many of the site's glitches are due to that fact.  We are hoping that we can still upgrade this site without shutting the site completely down which is why you may experience days when you cannot log in.  We are working behind the scenes trying to resolve the issue in a timely manner and hope to have this thing up and running like it should in a few days.
